In April 2024, the TYSKE FILMDAGE took place again in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Odense.

The festival opened its 11th edition with AFIRE by Christian Petzold. Festival highlights such as THE UNIVERSAL THEORY by Timm Kröger or SISI & I by Frauke Finsterwalder were also shown in the Grand Teatret. The line-up:

Finland and Germany are enjoying a fruitful film relationship, with more exciting co-productions in the works. In 2022 German Films is collaborating with Finnish Film Affair and is bringing German producers to Finland and is supporting a talk with the topic: CO-PRODUCING WITH GERMANY. In this talk, moderator Marta Balaga will discuss with international producers about how their co-productions have been initiated, nurtured and what’s to come next. Speakers are Jussi Rantamäki from Aamu Film Company and Jamila Wenske from Achtung Panda! who have co-produced together for example The Woodcutter Story and Compartment No. 6, Heino Deckert from Ma.ja.de Filmproduktion (Invisible Demons) and Marianne Mäkelä from Napa Films (Game of Minds). The discussion is organised in collaboration with Finnish Film Affair and Creative Europe Media Desk Finland.

In the end of November you find a fine collection of best German Cinema at TYSKE FILMDAGER which takes place in Oslo and is organized by the Goethe Institut Norway with support of German Films.

The program is a colorful mix of new German films and a unique opportunity to see them on the big screen and in a unique cinema atmosphere in Oslo. We show stories from reality, from the past, family stories and stories about friendship.

Five days of cinema fun for movie buffs, occasional moviegoers and everyone else too.
